A graduate of the School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, and the University of Colorado in Denver, Prof Somekh is an expert in the treatment and counseling of infectious and immunological diseases in children, including prolonged and severe infections, infections in newborns, periodic febrile illnesses, and immunodeficiency diseases. Prof. Somekh is also a researcher of vaccines in children, viral infections in children (chicken pox, herpes, influenza, rotavirus), surgical infections, and inflammation mechanisms.
