From the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, Mayanei Hayeshua was quick to act in attempt to reduce the spread of the virus by creating a screening center for the virus and issuing a total ban on visitors in order to safeguard the ER patients and frontline workers.
After successfully tackling the epidemic, and in preparation for the next emergency, with the recommendation of Israel’s Ministry of Health, we have begun to expand the capacity of our General Emergency Room. The new Department of Emergency Medicine, which is currently under construction, will incorporate an isolation ward allowing us to save even more lives in the case of a renewed outbreak of Covid-19 or in the case of a new pandemic. The new wing department will also include a ward dedicated to treat Mental Health emergencies as well as an Emergency Operating Room.
