The Premature Babies Ward at Mayanei Hayeshua is known for its ability to maintain a status of zero percent infections, and in addition, the survival rates of the premature babies treated there, are extremely high. Recently, the Ministry of Health recommended that the professional treatment model developed by Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center be replicated for all premature babies wards in the country. The Premature Babies Ward was rebuilt from scratch and is now a big, modern and advanced unit, which is managed by Dr. Bernard Barzilai and includes 28 incubators and baby cribs.
